Workspace Assistant & Search

Search isn't just keyword lookup — employees can ask questions in natural language and get a helpful answer that mixes a short summary, links, and visual elements, then takes them to the right place.

What you can ask

  • Policy & how-to"What's our refund policy?", "How do I submit an expense?", "What are the steps to approve a vendor?"
  • Navigation"Take me to the new-project page.", "Where do I submit the IT form?"
  • Operational (managers) — "Who's working on the Maple onboarding and how far along are they?", "What tickets are still open in Facilities?" These are answered from live workspace data via structured intents.

How it works

  • The assistant finds the most relevant SOP/blueprint/run/ticket and deep-links to the exact section (not just the page) with a quick, question-specific summary.
  • Answers respect permissions and department scope — people only ever see what they're allowed to.
  • A growing answer index (cache) stores previous questions and responses. When someone asks the same or a similar thing, the workspace can serve the cached answer instantly — minimizing token spend. Users never need to know whether an answer came from AI or the cache; it just works.

Turning it on

The assistant uses the workspace AI configuration. With no AI key, search still returns the closest matching pages — just without the generated summary.
