Departments & Sites

Departments model your organization and drive scoping across the app. They can nest to represent regions, sites, or stores.

How it works

• Departments can have a parent, forming a tree (e.g. Commercial → Downtown Site). Permissions and oversight cascade to descendants.
• Each department can have a head (manager-level rights within it) and a banner/photo for a polished landing page.
• A department detail page shows its sub-sites, members, and scoped content (SOPs, runs).

How to configure

1. Create a department; optionally choose a parent to nest it (cycles are prevented automatically).
2. Assign a head in Admin → Members (or grant oversight to a VP/Director).
3. Upload a banner for the department page.

Why it matters

Scoping by department means a temp at one site sees that site's SOPs and workflows — not another region's. Heads and overseers get the right visibility without becoming full admins.
