AI Studio

AI Studio is the workspace for turning intent and paperwork into real PilotBPM objects. It has three modes; switch between them at the top of the page. Access requires the ai.use permission.

1. Quick draft

Paste text or upload a PDF/Word file and pick a target — SOP, Blueprint, or Project. AI structures it into a clean draft you can review and edit before saving. Wording is preserved and reformatted, not rewritten.

2. Smart import (handbooks & manuals)

Built for big documents — an employee handbook, an operations manual — that actually contain many procedures:

• AI detects multiple SOPs by their headings and splits them out, preserving the original wording (reformatted into clean markdown).
• A document's table of contents is used to create Collections.
• Embedded forms, letters, and templates are detected by page range and attached to their SOP as the original PDF (not converted to text).
• AI auto-matches to existing collections/SOPs to avoid duplicates, and tags employees whose names appear in the document.
• A Compare view shows the reformatted SOP next to the original PDF page so you can verify nothing drifted.

Review every detected item in the side list, adjust classifications, then create them in one go.

3. Build with AI

Don't have a document? Describe what you want and build it live. Pick a target — Blueprint or Form — and chat:

• The assistant asks short clarifying questions with clickable options (just enough, never repetitive) and keeps a live preview updated on every turn.
• Blueprints come out with stages, tasks, and proof. AI proposes an owner per step and whether the process is a reusable template (owners asked at run time) or uses the same fixed people each time.
• Forms come out with the right field types. The assistant then asks what should happen on submit — who should be notified / receive completed submissions, whether to open a ticket, and whether to start a workflow.
• Workflow handoff — if the form should start a workflow that doesn't exist yet, AI offers to build it next and automatically links it back into the form's submit step. One conversation, a connected form and the process it kicks off.

When the preview looks right, hit Create and you're taken straight to the new blueprint or form.
